We valued Barbie’s Dreamhouse

One of the biggest film launches of 2023, Barbie has re-entered the scene this year perhaps bigger than ever, and of course with a whole load of pink. Arguably, one of Barbie’s most iconic possessions is her dreamhouse. At SDL Property Auctions, we’re of course interested to know just how much Barbie’s dreamhouse would be worth in real life, so we’ve had a look.

Situated in Malibu, the dreamhouse is right on the beachfront, with an outdoor pool and a slide that leads straight into it. There’s also a penthouse disco, and an elevator that Barbie can take from the kitchen, straight up to the second floor. There’s only one bedroom, one bathroom, and one lounge area, and the kitchen is relatively small, but there’s a walk-in dressing room where all of the best outfits can be stored.

There’s not much to say for the garden, aside from a small strip of artificial turf for Barbie’s pet dog and cat, but there is a single driveway where you’ll find the Barbie Corvette.

For a house of this size, in this location and with the amenities listed above, we would give an expert valuation of $20,000,000 for Barbie’s Dreamhouse.

Of course if you’re not a big fan of pink, you’d need to start looking at some serious refurbishment and decorating…
