Property Description

DRAFT DETAILS ONLY.

Doveridge is a popular residential village on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border about 2 miles east of Uttoxeter but with fast access on the A50 into Derby and Stoke on Trent.

The property has recently ceased to be used as a place of worship but is believed to date from about 1805 and is of typical chapel architecture. It is thought that the attached meeting room and kitchen was probably constructed at the turn of the 20th century.

Having frontage to Chapel Green, there is a grassed area to the south-west side which could accommodate vehicles, also with space for a small garden area. Traditionally constructed of brick under a tiled roof, the accommodation is as follows

Former Chapel 8.72m x 5.66m

Having attractive stained glass and leaded windows.

Adjoining Meeting Room 9.96m x 3.64m

With access through to

Kitchen 2.23m x 2.1m

Having a store room off.

Externally

There is an attached former fuel store (storeplace) and wc, and there is a grassed area referred to.

We are given to understand that the total site area is about 186 square metres.

It is thought that the chapel lends itself to a variety of purposes, perhaps principally residential conversion, subject to any necessary planning consent for change of use.
