Having worked as a trusted and experienced auctioneer in the UK for decades, SDL Property Auctions has a long history within the industry, and one part of that history is SDL Auctions Bigwood. A well-respected property consultant and auctioneer company, which was originally named CP Bigwood, SDL Auctions Bigwood developed a reputation for itself of professionalism and success.
We’re here to detail the history and achievements of SDL Bigwood and share how their history has fed into ours, allowing SDL Property Auctions to strive even further.
What is SDL Bigwood?
A multi-disciplinary property consultancy operating in Birmingham and the West Midlands, SDL Auctions Bigwood dedicated itself to serving those looking to purchase a property, whether that be residential, commercial or otherwise. It successfully connected sellers with auction buyers by hosting six major auction events every year, conducting sales in the historic Villa Park in Birmingham.
During this phase of its history, when it was still CP Bigwood, the company raised over £500m in sales for sellers in the West Midlands, a reach which only increased following its acquisition in 2016. CP Bigwood was then merged with Graham Penny, a company operating out of the East Midlands, resulting in the creation of SDL Bigwood, the property auctions specialist.
In more recent history however, what is now known as SDL Property Auctions, has since become independent, and SDL Auctions Bigwood was dissolved in 2022. Today, SDL Property Auctions is a trading name of SDL Auctions LTD and operates entirely independently, covering auction properties across England, Wales, and Scotland.
