  • I would firstly like to thank you for the amazing service you offered on the help of my property. You were very understanding and got us in to the brochure very last minute and luckily on first page, from start to finish I have been amazed on how fast and efficient you were – and Vejay too. I hope to use your services again and wish you all the best.”

  • “We’ve worked with Andy Thompson over a number of years in disposing of our excess stock. We always use Andy as he is excellent at maximizing value. He is extremely well connected in the North West and this really seems to help in identifying the best buyer for the property. On this particular lot, Andy secured a sale considerably above the reserve within a week of our instruction.”

  • “It has been so straight forward with no massive estate agent fees and my house went up in price not down in the way it happens with estate agents. I am now very nearly a cash buyer which really helps with negotiating on the next property!”

  • “[We] would like to thank you for all your help and support over the last couple of months. We hadn’t really considered the auction route, probably due to a lack of understanding of its benefits and pitfalls. We feel that with your patience, encouragement and professionalism, we have definitely had a very positive experience and we are more than happy with the auction outcome.”

What are residential property auctions?

What are residential property auctions? Residential property auctions are public sales in which properties are sold to the highest bidder. Sounds simple? That’s because it is! Through selling at auction, the process only takes around 6 weeks to complete, meaning it is a great option if for whatever reason, you need to sell your property fast.

If your idea of an auction is a secluded, smoky room at the back of your local pub – don’t worry – nowadays, things couldn’t be more different! Our auctions are held in large, modern rooms in some great locations, such as the King Power Stadium in Leicester, and the property values really represent those of the current property market.

If you’re looking for something a little closer to home, we also offer online property auctions that still offer the same transparency and certainty of purchasing in the auction room.

What are the benefits of property auctions?

If for whatever reason you need to sell your home within a particular time frame, selling your property at auction could be the best avenue for you. With auctions, there is a specific and intense marketing period of around 4 weeks, which ends with about ten minutes of bidding when the big day comes.

When the gavel’s down, the property is sold and crucially, contracts are exchanged. As the property has been sold at auction, no further negotiation is permitted, meaning completion is set for less than a month later.

We can also sell your property at the best possible price. If your house is distinctive, or has special qualities that buyers would love to compete for, auctions can be an amazing way to take advantage of achieving the best possible price for the property.

Similarly, properties that require renovation and have the potential to increase in value always sell well at auction. This is because our auction catalogues are regularly sent to developers, property dealers and investors who are in a position to buy and are specifically looking for properties they can add value to.
