Vinegar Hill cottage offers a flavour of Wales
If you’re in a pickle about where to invest in your next property, then look no further than Vinegar Hill in Clwyd, where a village bungalow is ripe for preservation.
The charmingly named Primrose Cottage, Vinegar Hill, Northop Hall, Deeside, is being sold by conditional online auction by SDL Auctions in partnership with Molyneux Estate Agents. It has a *guide price of £58,000 and ends at noon on Friday 1st November.
Jason Lee, national sales director at SDL Auctions, believes the property offers a great opportunity for an investor or developer.
“If you’re looking for a property where you can add value, then Primrose Cottage provides the ideal opportunity. There’s clearly work to be done on this cottage but it has some lovely original features such as the beamed ceiling in the lounge and offers great potential for the right investor.”
The semi-detached Welsh long cottage has a kitchen, two reception rooms, one double bedroom and a large bathroom with separate WC. The property has LPG gas heating and most of the windows are double glazed. Outside there are elevated gardens with steps leading up to the cottage and parking for one vehicle.
Jason added: “Once refurbished, this could be a beautiful home, which is sure to be in demand as it’s in a sought-after village, tucked up on a hill in a quiet lane but still close to amenities such as shops and leisure facilities.”
Northop Hall is a large village near Mold with a good range of amenities including a grocery store, post office, a primary school, pubs, restaurants and a range of sports and leisure facilities including a golf club.
Nearby, the larger community of Mold has a wider range of amenities, including supermarkets and a community hospital.
There are excellent transport links to the surrounding areas, including buses into Mold, and there are several railway stations nearby, including Buckley, which runs services to Wrexham and Liverpool.
