Life could be a breeze in a beautiful converted windmill

A beautiful converted windmill in Cheshire is expected to get bidders in a spin when it is sold by conditional online auction next month.

Life could be a breeze in Buerton Old Mill, Windmill Lane, Hankelow, Cheshire, a listed building which dates back to 1779 and was still in use up until 1880.

Now transformed into a stunning six-bedroomed home with four reception rooms, four bathrooms and a games/cinema room, the listed property is being sold by conditional online auction by SDL Auctions in partnership with James Du Pavey, with an opening bid of £540,000. The auction ends on Monday 8 April.

The accommodation is, as you would expect, spread across several floors. On the ground floor the main entrance hall features a curved built-in storage area and leads to a fabulous open plan living area incorporating dining area, sitting room with oil-fired cast stove and kitchen with cream fitted units, Corian work surfaces, quality integrated appliances and a curved larder storage cupboard.
