Graham Penny’s Golden Auction
2 April 2013 – Graham Penny Auctions will be holding a landmark Derby auction next week to celebrate its 50th since the company formed on St James’s Street in the city in 2006.
The auction – on Thursday 11th April at Pride Park Stadium – features 75 house and development land lots including terraced and semi-detached homes, development land and mixed residential and commercial properties from across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and further afield including Sheffield, Kent and Scotland.
Since its inception, Graham Penny Auctions in Derby has held 49 auctions, offered more than 3,500 lots for sale, secured more than £250m in sales for its customers, held the title of East Midlands No.1 residential property auctioneer for seven consecutive years and grown from a single office of four people to a group of companies employing 22 people.
Graham Penny commented: “In many ways it seems like only yesterday that we opened our doors and held our first auction back in April 2006. But so much as happened since then, most notably that we are now the No.1 residential property auctioneers in the whole of the Midlands*.
“We’ve continued to invest in the company; not only in our infrastructure and service to customers but also in our team. It’s thanks to them that we’re celebrating our golden milestone – and here’s to the next 50 auctions.”
Graham Penny Auctions has offices on The Strand in Derby and Wheeler Gate in Nottingham and with 14 auctions per year, it dominates the region’s house and property auction market in terms of lots offered, lots sold and revenue raised and continues to stay well ahead of its rivals across the East Midlands. It also operates Graham Penny Estates, Derby’s fastest growing Estate Agent, from its St James’s Street office.
