Andrew Parker, director at Graham Penny Auctions, commented: “We have ended 2013 in a really strong position as the leading auction house in the city. We have sold more properties than ever before and achieved higher sale value for our customers. Plus we still have post-auction offers coming in on our unsold lots so these figures could raise even further by the New Year.”

The auction on Tuesday 17th December saw 30 properties offered including 188 Brookhill Street in Stapleford, a three bedroomed detached house which had a guide price of £95,000+ and sold for £120,000 and Hazelwood House, 108 Hazelwood Road in Bobbers Mill, a three bedroomed end of terrace property which sold for £100,000 from a guide price of £78,000+.

The biggest seller of the day was the post office at 129 Mansfield Road in Clipstone which saw some fierce auction room bidding and achieving a final sale price of £151,000 – 132% over the guide price. The property next door at 127 Mansfield Road, the former Ritz live music venue also sold well achieving £77,500 from a guide price of only £50,000+.

Graham Penny Auctions holds 21 auctions per year at the iPro Stadium in Derby, Nottingham Racecourse and the King Power Stadium in Leicester.
