Graham Penny Auctions aiming to negotiate a win

Shortlist Resi AuctionHouseOTY4th November 2013 – Graham Penny Auctions, the number one property auction house in the Midlands*, is heading to London tomorrow for the prestigious property industry Negotiator Awards 2013 where it is a finalist in two categories.

Lining up against national competitors, Graham Penny Auctions takes its place as a finalist in the Auction House of the Year category and the Rising Star of the Year category, for which Nottingham office manager Abigail Selwood is nominated.

The awards come at a busy time for the team as it is also holding its latest Nottingham auction on 5th November with 51 lots set to go under the hammer. In addition, last month the Essential Information Group published its residential auction figures for July to September showing that Graham Penny Auctions sold 51 percent of all auction lots offered in the East Midlands during that period.

Andrew Parker, director at Graham Penny Auctions, said: “2013 has been a very successful year for us so far; we’ve already secured more in sales from our first five auctions of the year than we did in the whole of last year, we’re dominating the East Midlands market in terms of auction lots sold and we’re a finalist for two well respected industry awards.

“To be a named as a finalist amongst our national peers is great recognition of all the hard work the team has put in throughout the year and the vision of the board to become a leading and well-respected company in the property industry.”

The Negotiator Awards identify, reward and celebrate industry excellence and promote best practice within the residential property market. The awards ceremony takes place at the London Hilton on Tuesday 5th November and will be presented by comedian Hugh Dennis.
