Commercial investments sold successfully at SDL Auctions Graham Penny’s Derby auction

Commercial properties, especially investment opportunities, sold well at SDL Auctions Graham Penny’s final Derby auction of 2018 held at Pride Park Stadium.

A good example was 57 Bath Street in Ilkeston, a ground floor shop premises currently let to a unisex hair and beauty salon on a five year lease from November 2016, producing rental of £10,000 per annum. Offered with a *guide price of £73,000+, it sold at auction for £80,000.

In Grimsby, 1 Osborne Street is a vacant freehold two storey premises in a high street location with retail space on the ground floor and a first floor with its own separate entrance door from the high street. It had a guide price of £45,000+ and sold for £52,000.

Also in Grimsby, the former Coop bank at 25-27 South St Marys Gate is a large vacant two storey freehold property in a high street location extending to 5,234 sq ft. It sold for £110,000 from a guide price of £70,000+.

69 Main Street in Long Eaton is a vacant recently refurbished mixed use property with retail on the ground floor and three one bedroomed flats arranged over the three floors. The residential accommodation in the town centre requires some minor finishing works and the property was billed as an ideal investment opportunity. It had a guide price of £160,000+ and sold for £176,000.
