Character properties prove popular at SDL Auctions’ Chester Racecourse auction
From sea views to rural retreats, character properties sold well in this week’s SDL Auctions North West’s auction at Chester Racecourse which raised £1.6 million.
Glo No Mara, a detached house in Penrhos, Pwllheli, is a spacious detached coastal home which attracted plenty of interest with its sea views and the huge potential in the four bedroomed house on a large plot. It had a *guide price of £90,000+ and the hammer fell at £169,000.
In Flintshire, Ty Draw Farm in Nercwys, a beautiful Grade II four bedroomed Long House believed to date back to the 1600s surrounded by countryside views, sold for £220,000. It had a guide price of £200,000.
A two bedroomed terraced property at 8 Dickson Street in Burnley has been recently renovated and sits in a cul-de-sac in a popular area. It sold for £31,000 from a guide price of £28,000+.
A three bedroomed end terraced property at 120 King William Street in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent, had a guide price of £40,000+ and sold for £44,000.
One of the best results of the day was reserved for a local lot, 84 Gladstone Road in Chester, a three bedroomed end terraced Victorian property that requires modernisation and refurbishment throughout. Located in the popular garden district of Chester city centre, it sold for £120,500 from a guide price of £70,000+.
