Chance for angling fans to land the big one at auction

One of the Midlands’ best known commercial fisheries is coming up for sale at SDL Bigwood’s next auction to be held on Thursday, December 10, in Birmingham.

Fishing fans will have a chance to land the freehold coarse fishery at Ockeridge Lakes in Little Witley in Worcestershire which is listed for sale under a guide price of £120,000.

The lot is described by SDL Bigwood partner Ian Tudor as a “freehold, well established coarse fishery comprising four stocked lakes, with car parking, maintenance workshop and store.”

The total water area is 2.15 acres and the lakes hold a variety of coarse fish including carp, tench, bream, roach, perch and ide.

Ockeridge Lakes are located in a rural location, surrounded by farmland and situated off Hockhams Lane between Ockeridge and Little Witley, to the south of the A443 approximately 9.3 miles west of Droitwich and 14 miles south of Kidderminster.

SDL Bigwood’s December auction takes place in the Holte Suite, Aston Villa FC, starting at 11am.
