Buy lots for all budgets from the safety of your home

In a year when staying in is the new going out, the safe way to buy property is from the comfort of your home – and you can do just that in SDL Auctions’ next live-streamed auction.

With a catalogue of 170+ residential and commercial lots across the whole of the UK, the auction offers a diverse range of properties from studio apartments to a million-pound pad and even a shopping centre.

Managing director and auctioneer Andrew Parker said: “There may be many things it is not currently safe to do – but it will always be safe to buy property in our live-streamed auctions. Going out may not be an option but there’s still plenty which can be achieved by staying home. You can bid on any of our properties from your living room, your office or even your car, using one of our three remote bidding methods.”

Potential buyers in the 26th November auction can bid on the internet, by proxy or by speaking to a member of the team on the phone. Each method is socially distant, easy to use and puts the bidder in control of their budget.

Andrew said: “Bidding remotely is the hassle-free way to buy auction property. No travelling, no traffic or parking problems and you can even do it in your pyjamas.”

Among the properties attracting the attention of bidders is a detached house in London which offers three homes for the price of one. Currently configured as a two bedroomed house and five bedroomed house with a self-contained flat, 242-244 Norwood Road is in a popular location in the heart of Tulse Hill and has off-street parking and a large rear garden with  summer house. It has a *guide price of £1,275,000+.

At the other end of the scale – both for size and budget – are five one bedroomed apartments near Bradford. Being sold as five separate lots, each with a guide price of £19,500+, the flats are all in Cleckheaton and all currently let for between £3,540 and £4,500 per year. They are Flat 1, The Hollies in Bradford Road and Flat 2 on the ground floor, and Flat 4 and Flat 5 on the first floor. Flat 1a is also on the first floor and is accessed from Coach Lane. The properties have the use of a communal rear yard and parking.

In the East Midlands, a detached bungalow in a desirable part of Nottingham is expected to attract keen bidding. 100 Torvill Drive in Wollaton is in a leafy part of Nottingham near to Wollaton Hall and Deer Park while being convenient for the city centre. Requiring modernisation and refurbishment and with a guide price of £150,000+, the property has a living room/diner, kitchen, conservatory, wet room and two double bedrooms. It has parking for several vehicles, a garage and rear garden.

Meanwhile in the West Midlands, a prominent mixed-use investment property is among the commercial lots going under the hammer. Comprising four self-contained apartments and a commercial unit, 275 Kings Road in Kingstanding, Birmingham currently realises an annual rental income of around £18,400 per annum with the potential to rise to £32,000 when fully let at market rates. The ground-floor retail unit is a well established hair salon let to a long-standing tenant, while two of the four one bedroomed apartments are let and two are currently vacant. The property has a guide price of £270,000+.

If it’s a development opportunity you’re seeking, there are parcels of land, too, including one in Stoke-on-Trent with a guide price of just £1+. The freehold land at Lysander Road extends to around 0.11 and is considered suitable for building, subject to the necessary planning permissions.

Andrew added: “These are just a small sample of the lots being sold in this month’s national property auction, which features exciting opportunities along the length and breadth of the country. With guide prices as low as £1+, there are lots suitable for all budgets – and all can be purchased without having to leave the house.”

SDL Auctions, the UK’s most successful live-streamed auctioneer, will hold this month’s national property auction from its head office auctions studio on Thursday 26th November.
