Attractive commercial property investments at Nottingham auction

A recently renovated shop with a flat above that could bring in attractive rental income is going under the hammer in the next SDL Auctions Graham Penny auction in Nottingham on Friday 20 October.

The mixed use property at 5 Station Street in Kirkby in Ashfield has a *guide price of £45,000+, and has an estimated combined rental income of circa £8,000 to £9,000 per annum if fully let.

Vejay Pal, senior valuer at SDL Auctions Graham Penny, said: “This is a superbly presented property based in a prime town centre location.

“Estimated rental returns are worth up to 20 per cent based on the guide price, and so we are expecting some strong bidding for this lot.”

Meanwhile, a 10,000 sq ft warehouse at 40 St Peters Street in Radford is also being offered for sale in the auction with a guide price of £135,000+.

The building, which has its own south-facing solar panels producing energy worth approximately £2,000 per annum, has two units on the ground floor and larger storage areas on the first and second floors.

Mr Pal said: “This building has extensive parking areas and could be suitable for a variety of uses or for conversion to residential use, subject to the appropriate planning permissions.”

Also included in the auction catalogue is a substantial corner property made up of a ground floor shop with a three bedroomed flat above at 4 and 4A Wollaton Avenue in Gedling, with a guide price of £190,000+.

Mr Pal said: “These are great examples of the wide variety of lots we have at our auction, and we are expecting a busy day.”

The auction takes place at Nottingham Racecourse from 11.30am on Friday 20 October. There are 35 lots and the full auction catalogue can be found here, and at www.sdlauctions.co.uk.
